Alisha Oropallo MD, FSVS, FACS, FABWMS is a Professor of Surgery, at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine, Hofstra University/Northwell; Professor of Feinstein Institutes of Medical Research; and Medical Director of the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center and Hyperbarics, Northwell Health. Her major clinical interests are in the use of translational and clinical research in vascular surgery and wound care related to venous leg and foot ulcers. She is involved with numerous speaking presentations and co-authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She contributes to the editorial board of several journals. She also serves on the board of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care and chairs the Tools Working Group of the Wound Care Collaborative Community. She chairs the Shining the Light Northwell Wound Symposium educating health care professionals in wound care. Her research involves advancing the field in the integration of big data into a user-friendly repository for improvement in patient outcomes and research.
