Dr. Lorraine Loretz is a board-certified podiatric surgeon, later adding Master’s degree and board certification as a family nurse practitioner in the late ‘90s. She merged these two professions starting work in the Division of Vascular Surgery at UMass Memorial Healthcare in central Massachusetts in 2007, where she was a co-founder of the Limb Preservation team and the Vein Center. She has been extensively involved in medical education throughout her career, authored a primary care textbook, and has a number of research publications. In 2022, she retired from academic vascular surgery practice and now has her own business providing sclerotherapy and other aesthetic treatments, as well as consult work. She is an active Allied Health member of the AVF, serving on the Membership and Continuing Education committees.
