Kathleen J. Ozsvath, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon. Her practice provides comprehensive vascular services, with diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arterial disease,cerebrovascular disease, aneurysms, and venous disease. She has expertise in the treatment of superficial and deep venous disease, including long term sequalae of chronic venous disease. Pelvic venous pathology is also a very important interest.
Dr Ozsvath earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She completed surgical residency, surgical research fellowship, and chief residency at St. Luke’s - Roosevelt Hospital Center, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York (now Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West). She completed vascular surgery fellowship at Albany Medical Center, NY.She became a partner at the The Vascular Group in 2004. In 2018, she joined the Vascular Associates at St Peters Health Partners. Dr. Ozsvath is Chief of Surgery at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, NY.
An active researcher, Dr Ozsvath has participated in many clinical trials. She has authored research papers and abstracts published peer-reviewed journals and many book chapters. She has lectured locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Dr. Ozsvath has been very involved in the American Venous Forum. She has chaired the health policy committee, program committee, research committee and eary career when it was still ad hoc. Presently, She is the Membership Council chair, overseeing membership and international committees.
A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr Ozsvath has been an active member of the ABS vascular board as an examiner.
Dr. Ozsvath is the current president of the Eastern Vascular Society.
As a female vascular surgeon, she has interest in diversity and inclusivity issues, mentorship, and issues specific to women in surgery and leadership.
Dr. Ozsvath is a proud mother of an accomplished daughter.
